In the spring of 2012 High School Baseball and/or Softball teams will have the opportunity to play games on the turf @ Lenz Field & Sports Complex in Jacksonville, IL at NO CHARGE to your school.

To be eligible for this program, your varsity team must:

1. Schedule a game between Monday and Thursday during the week. We are accepting reservations now for games to be played in March, April, or May. To schedule this event or to check field availability, email or call our office at sbrannan@lenzfield.com or 217 245 8405

2. Along with your varsity team, you must also agree to have your junior varsity team and/or other varsity team (softball or baseball) play at the same time. In other words, at least two teams from the same high school must play at the same time.

3. A deposit of $50 per school is due at the time of your reservation. This deposit will be refunded at game time.

4. Teams will have to schedule, provide and pay umpires and also provide baseballs/softballs. If you need help scheduling umpires contact our office. There will be an admission fee into the complex for spectators. ($5 for adults and children ages 13 or over.)

5. You can schedule your own opponent or if you need help finding an opponent for this event, simply contact our office.

6. Register early to reserve a date for Spring 2012.

7. AVOID RAINOUTS.  If your game is rained out just simply call our office and check on availability of fields for FREE GAMES.

This offer does not include our weekend High School Jamboree Dates. (March 16-18 and March 23-25,2012)

2011 Action @ Lenz Field

Construction on Field #5 Complete

February 9, 2012: Lenz Field & Sports Complex has completed construction on their new turf field (Field #5).    This field has a turf infield and an irrigated natural grass outfield.  The dimensions of Field #5 are:  LF 317, LC 353, CF 335, RC 315 AND RF 317.  Field #5 will host baseball games for ages 5u-15u and softball of all ages! Our new field is completed and ready for 2012 play!

Lenz Field Warrior Head Coach & Lenz Field & Sports Complex owner Tom Lenz has been chosen to coach the 2012 9u Team Illinois in the USSSA Jr. All State Games. This past August the Lenz Field Warriors 9u team sent three players to the first annual Jr. All State Games. Briar Stinson (Rushville, IL), Nathan Walker (Carrollton, IL) and Nathan Hendricker (Mt. Sterling, IL). The 9u 2011 team Illinois finished 4-0 and captured the tournament championship. Nathan Walker won first place in the fastest player competition, and Briar Stinson was selected first team all 9u Midwest!

USSSA and Amateur Baseball Report have teamed to coordinate this exciting and prestigous event. The 2012 USSSA Jr. All State Games will include all star teams representing Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Texas, Kentucky, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
